Brescia

The city of Brescia impresses with its cultural heritage and vibrant atmosphere. Renowned for its stunning architecture and ancient sites like the impressive Capitolium of Brixia and Roman amphitheatre, the Italian Capital of Culture 2023 offers a fascinating window into northern Italy’s history. With its picturesque squares, winding alleyways, and a diverse culinary scene, it captivates both locals and visitors alike.

Tremosine

Tremosine, one of the “Borghi più belli d’Italia” (a.k.a. the most beautiful villages and towns in Italy), sits high atop a plateau, offering spectacular views of the lake and the surrounding mountains. The village is known for its picturesque alleys and historic buildings amidst stunning nature. It also delights with a great selection of hiking paths, such as the Sentiero della Forra, which winds its way along deep gorges.

Terrazza del Brivido

Terrazza del Brivido is a stunning viewing platform near the parish church of Tremosine. It is perched 350 metres high on a steep cliff, jutting out into void, and is particularly popular with thrill-seekers. The view from Terrazza del Brivido is spectacular, leaving visitors in awe as they take in the beauty and grandeur of Lake Garda.

Hermitage of San Valentino

The former plague chapel Hermitage of San Valentino was built at an altitude of 772 metres above sea level, high above Lake Garda near Gargnano. It’s the perfect place to find undisturbed peace and marvel at extraordinary views. Accessible via scenic hiking trails, this spiritual retreat invites you to relax and reflect amidst the lush natural surroundings.

Montecastello Sanctuary

Montecastello Sanctuary, which sits atop a steep cliff overlooking Tignale on Lake Garda’s western shore, is an important pilgrimage site. Dating back to the 17th century, its striking church enchants with intricate frescoes and a magnificent golden altar. Pilgrims and visitors flock here to pray, find peace, and enjoy the incredible views of Lake Garda.

Val Vestino

Val Vestino is a remote valley to the northeast of Lake Garda, known for its wild nature. Surrounded by steep mountain peaks and dense forests, it offers hikers and nature enthusiasts a variety of outdoor activities.
