In our restaurant, we use carefully selected ingredients sourced from local markets and obtained through close partnerships with local farmers. This decision isn’t just about serving you good food – it also helps cut down on environmental impact by shortening transport routes while supporting the local economy at the same time. Plus, products from local farmers are available for purchase in our hotel shop.

We rely on renewable energy sources to power our resort. Solar panels, combined heat and power units, air-source heat pumps with heat recovery systems, an efficient energy modulation system, and other environmentally friendly technologies play a key role in reducing our ecological footprint, actively contributing to the reduction of fossil fuel consumption.

We avoid single-use plastic and opt for eco-friendly options to minimise our environmental impact. You won’t find any plastic straws in our restaurant; instead, choose from environmentally friendly options made of paper or bamboo. Additionally, we do not serve drinks in plastic bottles; we use sustainable packaging and glass. We’ve also eliminated single-use cosmetics from our rooms, opting instead for a refillable system with premium products. Each guest can choose whether they prefer to use the STROBLHOF slippers or bring their own flip-flops from home. When you check out, we give a small discount if you return unused slippers to reduce your carbon footprint.
